Challenge Course Facilitator Training - $75.00

Challenge Course Facilitator Training educates participants in group development, verbal communication, facilitation, problem solving, and providing feedback. Those who complete the training have the ability to work at the challenge course starting as an Assitant Facilitator (must be eligible for student employment)
Low course topics covered include: teambuilding theory and small group problem-solving skills, new games and initiatives, briefing and debriefing techniques, low course elements and safety protocols.
High course topics covered include: belay skills, belay rope/equipment maintenance, knots, high dynamic and static course elements and related safety protocols.

Sign up online or at the Rec Sports Main office during business hours.
Challenge Course programs fill on a first-come, first-serve basis and waiting lists will be kept.
There is an 16-person limit to this course.

Refund Policy

Full refunds are issued if the Department of Recreational Sports cancels a class, activity, or program. In other cases, refunds are only granted where there is a documented medical condition that precludes completion of the class, activity, or program. If a refund is warranted, it is prorated based upon the class, activity, or program start date and will include a $15.00 processing fee. Classes, activities, and programs costing less than $15.00 are not eligible for a refund.
