Join UGA Outdoor Recreation as we journey to a beautiful fire tower at the highest peak in the Cowee Mountains, an incrediblely picturesque spot with 360 views of Western North Carolina mountains. The hike up to the summit is challenging, but you will be left feeling accomplished while sitting by a warm fire with dinner cooking nearby! This is a 12.5 mile out and back hike and is reccomened for moderately experienced backpackers and hikers.

Departs from Ramsey Student Center at 5 p.m. Friday, returns 8 p.m. Sunday (times are approximate) MANDATORY pre-trip meeting Monday, March 23rd from 6-8 p.m in Ramsey Classroom 224.

COST:
$80: currently registered UGA students
$90: UGA Faculty/Staff who are current Ramsey members
$100: non-Ramsey members
SIGN-UP DEADLINE:
Friday, March 23rd at 12 p.m.
Sign up online or in-person at the Recreational Sports Main Office, 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., Monday-Friday. Clinics and trips fill on a first-come, first-served basis and waiting lists will be kept. There is an 8-person limit to this trip.

Your trip leaders will cover suggested food items in a pre-trip email or during your pre-trip meeting.
